a day in the life of the mrs

it's never a good sign when you're ready to go back to bed by 9am on new years eve. i am so tired, however will i make it through this long day? we're having a party here, which will be great. i wish i was one of those people who could have company and the leave the house a mess and not care. there's nothing more fun than cleaning the whole house, making appetizers and getting ready for a party with five kids under the age of 8! i'm going to have to put these kids to work! my five year old son thinks he's superman so maybe he can have super cleaning powers. he wears a cape everywhere anyway, may as well put those powers to work! if i could attach some sort of cloth to the bottom of the baby maybe he could crawl around the kitchen and clean the floor. my three year old daughter is really good at dusting, as long as you don't want the entire surface clean, since her attention span is about the length of, well, a three year old. maybe i could make the theme of the party "a day in the life of a mom" and just leave the toys and laundry and sink of dishes. it'll be cute. i'm sure people would buy that. right?
